I heard on a few days or so ago that the Hawaiian Railway Society (https://www.hawaiianrailway.com) was planning on having a free public charter ride with a stop at Two Scoops Ice Cream Shop. So, Logan and I decided to go to this event. I decided that while there, it was a good time to incorporate this outing into 3 subjects of homeschool lessons. #1-have Logan take pictures with a camera so we can print up the pictures he took and make a collage of these pictures. Which is an art lesson in itself with the photography and making of the collage. #2-Logan can learn about the history of the railway here in our home state of Hawaii-how it became to be, etc. And #3-the science of how the trains work! Mind you, the ice cream was just an added touch on such a hot day. Logan had a good time on our trip to the railway and was having a great time going around and taking pictures of what he wanted to take! Overall, I say the trip and the homeschool lessons was a success! Enjoy the pictures!
