Reasons To Be Thankful...Thanksgiving 2015 Edition....

Sigh...Thanksgiving! Good food, aromas of wonderful smells, family and friends, and everything in between. For 364 days (if it's not a leap year), it is the one day of the year, where people eat until they can't eat no more. And where people express their thankfulness and gratitude of the things, people, and the like in their lives. Then, the crazy Christmas shopping follows right after Thanksgiving. But my thoughts and reflections go back to the moments each of us express our thankfulness and gratitude. I know that with our everyday stress, frustrations, and everything else that enters our lives, we often forget why we are thankful. Why we should carry our gratitude, every day of the year. But like I already mentioned, our lives often get in the way and we often forget. I know that I do. Here is my reasons why I am thankful: 1. My son.-He is my heart, my soul, my life, my everything. He means more to me than anything in the world and more than words can say. 2. A roof over our heads and a place to sleep at night. -I may not be happy with the situation but at least, it's a place. 3. Food to eat.-At least, my family and I do have something to eat. It may not be much but it is something. My heart aches for those who have no food whatsoever. 4. Health. -That's all I'm going to say with that. 5. Friends.-For the ones that I do have in my life. 6. Faith.-My faith may not be the strongest but at least, I have my faith. 7. Alive.-Just being alive is the best thing, I could ask for and want. 8. Blessed.-Being blessed for the things that I do have in my life at the moment. And that is some of what I am TRULY thankful for. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. Pumpkin pie, stuffing, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is just 3 of the items of why I enjoy the holiday. The feeling of family (even if it is just my mom, my son, and myself) and feeling of being thankful for the littlest of things in one's life. Sigh. Thanksgiving. As much as I dislike the dishes, the mess, and the feeling of being stuffed days afterwards, I still love Thanksgiving. Until next year, it's been a GREAT Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving!
