The Ice Challenge

Never mind the ice challenge. Dumping ice and water on your head won't end cancer. All the money raised and goes on to be raised over the years haven't found a cure. As much as I hate cancer and want the end of it, I rather see people doing something more worthy while with their time and money in ending cancer than dumping ice and water on your head. Shouldn't we make sure a cure is found? Or instead of having people like Angelina Jolie removing her breasts just not to get cancer, shouldn't preventable medicine (if there isn't already) be created so that way cancer won't come to anyone in the future like in the case of Angelina Jolie and countless of others? Something needs to be done to help end cancer instead of dumping ice water on one's head. Watching a child suffer and possibly DIE from cancer is more hurtful than having ice water dumped on your head. Watching a child suffer and possibly die from cancer shouldn't be apart of our lives. A child deserves to live and not suffer and not end up not being around in their loved ones' lives. There is more effective ways of raising money and awareness for cancer than dumping ice water on your head! That ice water should be keeping you hydrated from the heat of the summer and simply keeping you hydrated. That ice water could go to a child, a person, a family who has NO CLEAN WATER to even to DRINK. Instead of wasting your money on buying the ice, donate it to the American Cancer Society or any cancer society. Or donate it to food banks or someone in need of food. People die from hunger too.
